Natashia D. Hines
Natashia D. Hines is an award winning, conscientious advocate for justice in both her personal life and professional career. She graduated cum laude from Amherst College in 2007 with a B.A. in Religion and Law, Jurisprudence, and Social Thought and in December 2010, received her Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law. While attending Stetson, she served in numerous leadership roles. She was the Student Editor in Chief of the Journal of International Aging Law & Policy, chair of the Student Bar Association’s Alumni Relations Committee, and a Teaching Fellow for Stetson’s nationally ranked Research and Writing program. She was also a recipient of the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award and the Judge Susan F. Schaeffer Scholarship, and was elected by Stetson Faculty and Staff to “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
Prior to joining Lancaster & Eure, Ms. Hines worked for a personal injury, civil rights, and criminal defense firm in Tampa, Florida. Additionally, she interned with the Tampa Field Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). At Lancaster & Eure, she focuses her practice in the areas of personal injury law and employment discrimination, including sexual harassment, retaliation, and hostile work environment claims. She is admitted to practice law in Florida state courts and in federal court in the Middle District of Florida.
Ms. Hines is active in community service work and in professional organizations. She is an active member of the Sarasota County Bar Association, serving on the Diversity Committee. She was recently nominated to serve a term on the Sarasota County Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Division Board of Directors and is also a member of the Manatee County Bar Association, Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Florida Justice Association, National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), and Florida Employment Lawyers Association. In the Sarasota community, she volunteers with the Junior League of Sarasota and Big Brothers Big Sisters. In her spare time, Ms. Hines enjoys reading and playing with her Pug.
