David B. Wieland
David Wieland is a Florida native from Orlando who is dedicated to helping Florida’s workers and injured citizens receive the benefits they deserve. David graduated from Florida State University in 2011 and received his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University’s College of Law in 2014. During his time in law school, David interned with the Public Defender’s Office in Orlando, clerked with his father’s law firm specializing in Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury, and clerked for a statewide insurance defense firm in Tallahassee.
David is admitted to practice law by the Florida Bar, and is an active member of the Sarasota County Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR), Florida Workers’ Advocates, the Florida Justice Association, and the Florida Bar’s Young Lawyers Division. David is also an active member of the SERTOMA Club of Greater Sarasota, and is a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Suncoast. He concentrates his practice in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, and Personal Injury.
David has grown up in the world of plaintiff civil litigation. His grandfather, Judge Bill Wieland, was a Judge with the Florida Office of Judges Compensation Claims in Orlando, Florida. David’s father, Glen Wieland, is a respected personal injury and workers’ compensation attorney. Recently, David was named as one of The Nation’s Top Injured Workers’ Attorneys by the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group, a national organization dedicated to representing the interests of injured workers. He has also been added as a member of the Lawyers of Distinction for his work in workers’ compensation and disability claims. David advocates for his clients and their families, and has dedicated his career to helping those in need receive the benefits that they deserve.
